Kitsap County K-9 nabs burglary suspect in 4 hours

Kitsap County K-9 Heiko tracked a burglary suspect throughout the night and caught him the following morning. 

At 1:39 a.m. Kitsap County Sheriff deputies responded to a burglary alarm at The Southworth Grocery Store in Port Orchard. The deputies were soon joined by K-9 handler Deputy Aaron Baker and "Heiko.” The pair began their tracking as soon as they arrived. 

Within four hours the handler and his K-9 where able to find the suspect  a 25-year-old man from Seattle. The sheriff's office has not released details of where the suspect was at the time of arrest. 

The suspect was already wanted on a $100,000 felony warrant from King County for burglary and a domestic violence warrant. The suspect also had a misdemeanor warrant from the City of Port Orchard.

He is currently booked at the Kitsap County Jail on a new charge of burglary.
