The Washington State Patrol says different guns were used in two shootings in Pierce County on Sunday morning.

The first vehicle was struck a bullet/bullets at 4:15 a.m. on Sunday while driving eastbound on State Route 16 between the Narrows Bridge and Jackson Avenue. The driver of the minivan was not hit or injured.

The second shooting occurred at approximately 4:45 a.m. when a full-sized sedan was struck by multiple bullets on northbound Interstate 5 between 56th Street and 38th Street. That driver was also unharmed.

The State Patrol is treating the shootings as two separate incidents. The only thing that links them is time and proximity.

The suspect or suspects remain at large.
