SEATTLE – SWAT team members surrounded a North Seattle apartment Thursday, after a teenager barricaded himself inside.
Officers responded to the 1100 block of North 94th Street just after 6:00 p.m. to investigate a break-in.
Police received a report someone in the apartment broke into his parent’s house near North 92nd Street and Aurora Avenue North.
Officers said a teenager walked onto a balcony and showed two butcher knives.
SWAT team negotiators were called in. They attempted to get the suspect to peacefully surrender.
It was unknown if there were other weapons in the home.
