Attention K-Mart shoppers: You may have received 'funny money' from a Tacoma cashier.

According to Tacoma Police, a cashier at the K-Mart on 72nd Avenue has been using her position in the store to exchange counterfeit $20 bills for real ones.

Investigators said she had been committing the crime for the past year and a half.

Police said the woman gave fake money as change and also took real 20's out of the cash register and replaced them with the counterfeit bills.

She was booked into jail Thursday on 11 counts of forgery, one for each of the 11 counterfeit bills she had in her possession.
