The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Team are investigating a suspected homicide at Lake Stevens a home.
Lt. Jeff Brand with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office says at 9:06 a.m. a male called 911 to report he had found a deceased female in a home in the 9200 block of 15th St. SE.
Investigators were trying to determine what the man's connection is to the victim, who she is and how she died.
After finding a woman's body, officers exited the residence to wait for a search warrant.
The woman in her 20s, appears to have died of homicidal violence, Brand said.
Lake Stevens Police asked Snohomish County Sheriff's Office to take the lead in the investigation.
Brand said investigators are confident that this case is not related to the Molly Conley shooting.
