Police are looking for a man who tried to abduct a 16-year-old girl in Shoreline on Monday.

Police released a sketch of the suspect. Police say attempted the abduction happened near 179th and Linden Avenue North near the Shoreline Fred Meyer.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 60 years old, 6'3" with white, balding hair and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a blue long-sleeved dress shirt, khaki dress pants and 2-3 days growth beard. His vehicle is described as an older blue four-door sedan with paint peeling on it. The inside reportedly is dirty and filled with clothes.

The girl told police she had gotten off a Metro bus at Aurora Avenue N and N 183rd. She had walked down N 182nd when the suspect hollered at her from a parking lot behind a Jack in the Box. When she continued to walk on Linden Avenue N, the suspect followed her in his car. When she got to the 17900 block, the suspect got out of his car and tried to grab her.

The teen managed to break free and ran toward a nearby school. In the process, she dropped her back pack. Police say an unknown woman picked up the backpack and returned it to the victim. Police are looking for the woman and would like to find and speak to her.
