King County prosecutors on Friday said they will request a $1 million bail for the Shoreline woman who is accused of stabbing her ex-boyfriend Thursday morning and then abducting the couple's two young daughters.

Doreen Starrish, 28, remains at large after her actions triggered an Amber Alert, which was canceled Thursday night after Starrish's brother dropped off the two girls, ages 7 and 3, unharmed, at their grandmother's house.

Prosecutors plan to charge Starrish with assault in the first degree once she is apprehended. Her ex-boyfriend, Aaron Star, remains in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center.

Police say Starrish told her children not to talk to police, but officers said they will try to interview them.

Starrish is believed to have a weapon. Anyone who sees her is asked to not approach her and call 911.
