SEATTLE  -- A man and a woman who found themselves inside a stolen trailer that was accidentally towed to a Seattle police evidence warehouse managed break out and now officers are looking for one of them.

Seattle police said Tuesday that in March a police officer found a stolen truck and trailer. The officer checked the truck for the suspects but couldn't access the trailer because it was locked from the inside.

Instead of seeking a warrant to break the lock, the officer had the truck and trailer towed to the police complex in the city's SoDo district, which also housed the SWAT unit, training offices and evidence. The officer notified his auto theft investigators.

Little did the officer know that inside the locked twenty-foot by eight-foot trailer were two men, as well as a mattress, stolen items and drug paraphernalia. The men broke out of the facility after spraying the trailer with a fire extinguisher.

Police say the man is in custody for an unrelated charge and are now seeking the woman.

Officials say the accidental infiltration impacted six cases.
