SPD: Woman thrown down, sexually assaulted near UW

A woman was reportedly sexually assaulted near the University of Washington campus Friday morning.

The alleged attack happened around 2:00 a.m. while the victim was walking northbound on 16th Avenue and Northeast 52nd Street.

Police said the suspect walked past her on the sidewalk, grabbed her and threw her on the ground, where she was allegedly sexually assaulted.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 21-years-old, around 6-feet 3-inches tall, short dark hair and facial stubble. He was wearing a purple Washington hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
