A Colorado woman is accused of assaulting her boyfriend after he refused to stop singing the catchy tune “Thrift Shop” by Seattle’s Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

According to the Longmont Police Department report, the 23-year-old woman and her 26-year-old boyfriend were having an argument over whether the boyfriend had consumed all the alcohol in the house.
The boyfriend then started singing the song while laying on the couch.

The suspect told police she asked her boyfriend “25 times” to stop singing, saying it was annoying. Police said the suspect also admitted to pushing her boyfriend and grabbing him around the throat “for intimidation.”

Police said both the suspect and victim were drunk when they arrived.

The boyfriend told police that he didn’t remember anything from the encounter, but police said his neck was red on both sides.

The suspect was booked for harassment and domestic violence.
