A Mill Creek man whose wife was found dead in the couple's apartment Monday shot himself in the head before crashing his car, police said.
Sean McIntyre, 29, died after the crash with a parked semi truck on 35th Avenue Southeast near 180th Street Southeast.
Police have ruled his death a suicide.
His wife, Sandra McIntyre, 26, was found shot in the head around the same time as the crash. Sandra was pregnant, according to detectives.
Her body was discovered by police investigating a domestic dispute at their apartment on Main Street.
Police said the couple spent Sunday together, watching football, going to dinner and drinking with friends.
That evening, detectives said Sandra called friends for help when Sean began acting strangely and armed himself with a shotgun.
Friends were able to talk him down, but when the last person left the apartment, detectives said Sandra was killed.
It was a Snohomish County Sheriff's deputy investigating the domestic dispute who spotted Sean's car speeding away from the area. Minutes later, the car crashed into the semi truck.
Police said the case may be the first homicide on record in Mill Creek.
