A house full of a Marysville family and their friends was attacked last night when two firebombs were tossed through a bedroom window.
The attacker then stabbed a woman at the front door, tossed firewood through a living room window and tried to run down a man standing in the driveway of the home in the 14500 block of 58th Dr. NE.
“I’m not gonna feel safe ‘til they catch him,” said Connie, who did not give her last name.
She says the attacker was a man who recently employed her boyfriend. Both she and her boyfriend, Larry, claim not to know what prompted the attack.
After the man tossed the firebombs into the couple’s bedroom around 3 a.m. Friday morning, Connie encountered him at the front door of the house.
She says he swiped at her with a box cutter.
“I felt it go straight across my face but, thank God, the blade was not out at that time,” Connie said.
She says he did extend the blade, and then cut her across the belly.
The couple says the man then tried to run Larry down in the driveway with his truck, but hit a light pole and took off.
The fire from the gas bombs was extinguished by other family members and no one suffered any serious injuries.
Police say they are looking for a 56-year-old Snohomish County man, but they’re not releasing his name.
