A Seattle man accused of harassing and threatening Mayor Ed Murray and Seattle Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant was being held in the King County Jail on $600,000 bail after a probable-cause hearing Friday.

According to The Seattle Times, the 32-year-old man is being investigated for malicious harassment after he allegedly posted anti-gay comments on Murray's Facebook page.

One comment referenced Harvey Milk, a gay San Francisco politican who was slain in 1978. It read: "Mayor, meet Harvey Milk."

Other threats were directed at socialists, feminists and Seattle police.

The man has no criminal record and was expected to make his second court appearance next Wednesday.

Murray's office declined to comment.
