Police have arrested the man they say groped an 11-year-old girl last month at a Snohomish Fred Meyer store.
Curtis Beseda was arrested Monday night in Tacoma near Pacific Lutheran University.
A patrol officer found him asleep in a car. Beseda was taken into custody without incident.
Prosecutors on Friday charged Beseda with first-degree child molestation in connection with the groping. The young victim told detectives Beseda pushed himself against her, touched her backside and whispered in her ear. She told authorities “he was trying to do something bad” by making her leave the store.
At least eight people identified Beseda as the man seen in video surveillance released to the media.
Beseda spent 12 years in prison for fire-bombing two abortion clinics in the 1980s.
