KING 5 news has learned of a video diary left behind by the man who hid in a bunker in the mountains near North Bend.

Peter Keller recorded the message just before he killed his wife and daughter and went underground to hide.

Law enforcement sources said there's a series of videos, the last made two weeks before Keller gunned down his family.

In one video, Keller says ominously that he doesn't need to worry about his wife and daughter, they'll be taken care of.

Sources said Keller's motive was apparently to drop out of society and just disappear.

Law enforcement sources who've seen these videos said they are surreal. Kellers voice is flat and he doesn't blink as he speaks into the camera outside his bunker.

He announces at the end of one video that this will be his last recording until the "event" is over.

According to sources, two weeks later Keller killed Lynnette and Kaylene Keller, his wife and daughter, and set the family home in North Bend on fire. He then fled to the mountain bunker hed been building for several years. He killed himself on April 28, a day after King Co. Sheriffs deputies surrounded his bunker.

The Sheriff's Office this afternoon confirmed the existence of these videos to KING 5.

Sgt. Katie Larson would not talk about the contents on the tapes.

She said the agency plans to release much of this material at a future date -- and she said the bizarre scenes on these videos are a "movie in the making."
