Police were investigating a home invasion Friday morning in a normally quiet Seattle neighborhood. Two people ended up in the hospital.
It happened around 5:30 a.m. in the 7500 block of 44 Ave NE. Police say three masked men, two of whom were armed, entered the home and assaulted the people inside.
Seattle Police said some items were stolen and the suspects allegedly stole a Ford Crown Victoria to leave the scene.
Two people went to the University of Washington Medical Center after allegedly being pistol whipped. Their injuries were not life-threatening.
A police spokesperson said he believed the house was targeted. He also said there might be some connection to the medical marijuana dispensary industry, but he said there was not a marijuana grow operation in the house.
