Federal Way Police are investigating a robbery that left a woman shot in a motel parking lot Wednesday night.
The shooting happened around 12:45 a.m. outside a Super 8 Motel. The 23-year-old woman was shot in the back and treated at St. Francis Hospital for a non-life threatening injury.
The victim described the suspect as a black man, approximately 35 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and with a thin build.
The suspect reportedly is carrying a revolver and left the scene in a silver or white van with two other people.
SWAT arrested a suspect later Thursday morning at a Federal Way home. Two nearby schools were placed in lockdown as a precaution during the arrest.
