Stand-up comedian Micah "Katt" Williams was a no-show Wednesday morning at King County misdemeanor court.

Williams's attorney, Thomas McAllister, told the court that his client had a doctor's appointment and couldn't be there. Judge Willie Gregory immediately issued a bench warrant for the comedian's arrest.

Earlier this month, Williams was charged with three misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree assault stemming from two incidents in Seattle.

According to the charges, Williams struck a man over the head with a microphone during a performance at the Paramount Theater. Williams was reportedly upset the man was trying to record the show The next morning, Williams allegedly threw a chair at two fans who were trying to meet him.

Williams failed to appear for an earlier court date, claiming he was told he didn't have to show up. Judge Gregory said then that Williams was misinformed.

McAllister said he will attempt to have the bench warrant quashed.

No new court date was set.
