A suspect trying to make a quick get away crashed his car into a South Seattle apartment building Thursday morning.
The man was arrested at the scene of the crash, near MLK Jr. Way South and South Walden Street, after fighting officers, according to Seattle Police.
A passenger in the car became trapped during the crash. He was rescued by firefighters and taken to Harborview Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
According to Seattle Police, the incident began when the suspect and passenger were spotted fighting at a local business. Witnesses told officers they left, but then came back when they thought employees called police on them.
As the suspect was driving away for a second time, he hit the apartment building, officers said.
He was booked into the King County Jail for assault and property damage.
No one inside the apartment building was injured in the crash.
