SPOKANE, Wash. -- Police arrested a 16-time convicted felon after he attempted to flee from police on a stolen bicycle. Alexander Stormy, 29, was booked into jail for Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Spokane Police Neighborhood Conditions Officers saw Stormy approach a Spokane intersection and recognized him from previous arrests.

When police attempted to stop Stormy for traffic violations, he fled the area on his bike. Officers took him into custody about a block away.

The bike Stormy was riding was worth $3,500 according to police. Officers checked the serial number and found it had been reported stolen in a garage burglary on August 12, 2013.
