In December, Edythe Kirchmaier turned 105 years old and set up a Facebook account to honor her birthday.

Now Kirchmaier is asking for help with her birthday wish: helping Direct Relief reach 105,000 likes on Facebook.

Good Morning America reports that Kirchmaier is Facebook's oldest registered user.

Kirchmaier has volunteered with the medical aid charity for 40 years. She helps write thank you letters to donors.

Direct Relief currently has over 79,000 likes on Facebook and over 24,000 people have friended Edythe.

You can "light a candle" for Kirchmaier by liking Direct Relief's page.
