There are 110 million single people in the United States, and Seattle happens to have the second highest population of singles. So how do you overcome the 'Seattle Freeze'? Matchmaker Sara French says get yourself out there.

"Get off Facebook, stop looking at your cell phone, and make eye contact with people," said French.

French says it is all about putting out the right vibe.

"Say hello to one new person every single day," she recommended.

Once you break throught the "freeze" and get that first date, how do you make a great initital impression?

Marcy Waldman with It's Just Lunch says flirting is key if you feel some sort of connection.

"It's about eye contact, about body language, are you leaning in? You are welcome to touch people a little bit if you reach across the table and telling people that you appreciate what they are saying can go a long way," said Waldman.

Both women said keeping the first date to an hour is key.

"We schedule 900 dates a month out of the It's Just Lunch Seattle office, and we always make sure that it's for a drink or a lunch. You want to make sure that there's an attraction and chemistry and if there is, you can schedule a longer second date" said French.
