On Sunday, comic book legend Stan Lee was in Portland for what may be one of his final appearances in the Pacific Northwest.
A packed room filled with comic book enthusiasts welcomed Lee to Portland at this year's Rose City Comic Con.
"This is the best convention I remember being to," laughed Lee.
You may know him. He's a big name in the world of Marvel comics. He was the mastermind behind heroes like Spider-Man, The Hulk, Iron Man and the Fantastic Four. His fans were star struck.
"To put into one word, it was amazing. He is a man with a huge influence on this industry that I have loved ever since I was a kid," said Jon Diaz-Hui, a comic enthusiast.
KGW's Steph Stricklen moderated.
"I like her. I could say anything and she applauds. My name is Stan Lee watch," laughed Lee as Stricklen and the audience clapped.
A long line of people waited to ask questions and share their thoughts.
"I just want to say thank you for making Marvel heroes. It's been really a great thing in my life," said one young woman.
The opportunity to hear from Lee himself was special to many at Rose City Comic Con.
"I'm at a loss for words. It was great," said Diaz-Hui.
Just in case you're wondering, Spider-Man, Iron Man and The Hulk are just a few of Lee's favorite Marvel characters he's created.
