TACOMA, Wash. -- Tacoma police confirm a body has been located at a property where a teen said he killed and buried his father in the backyard.

Investigators searched the acre-and a-half property on South Madison Street Tuesday afternoon after police obtained a search warrant. A vehicle with the Medical Examiner's Office arrived at the residence a couple of hours later and removed the body to be identified.

The man was reported missing by his wife on Saturday. Neighbors said this comes as a shock for this quiet and secluded neighborhood.

"I’ve got major butterflies and an upset stomach right now just because it’s so close to home," said Martha Small, who lives nearby.

The husband, wife and teen live together in the 1900 block of South Madison Street. Tacoma police are not releasing the identity of the body found at this time. Court documents show there may have been ongoing domestic issues at the home.
