The Army is preparing to prosecute a soldier for the death of a comrade in Afghanistan this year.

Initially, army brass said Private First Class Neil Turner of Tacoma died in a training accident on January 11.

But now, the army says Specialist Francisco Perez fired a rocket-launcher at Turner inside their base near Kabul.

Turner's mother says documents indicate Perez had been chastised in the past for "horseplay" with weapons that he was in charge of storing at the base.
