SEATAC -- Undeterred by cold and flight delays, Seahawks fans welcomed the Super Bowl champions back to the Puget Sound Monday.
Around 100 supporters, mostly Delta Airlines employees and their friends, stood outside a hangar at Sea-Tac International Airport as the airplane landed from its cross-country journey. The trek was delayed by weather issues and finally touched down around 6.
Upon landing, Coach Pete Carroll led the team off the plane. He made his way to the line of fans and shook hands. Meanwhile, players headed for buses, clearly exhausted from the trip and celebration.
The team then went to their Renton training facility, again greeted by fans.
Celebrations are being reserved for a parade Wednesday through downtown Seattle.
