Seafair is now over, but there are a lot of fun festivals in the Seattle area during this second weekend of August. Lynn Jacobson, the features editor of The Seattle Times, joined KING 5 to talk about "what's going on."
One of Seattle's fastest-growing neighborhoods throws a party for itself on Friday with a burger-grilling contest, food samples from area restaurants and an outdoor screening of Dirty Dancing. The fun starts at noon and goes well past dark.
This celebration of tattoo art and culture begins at 2 p.m. on Friday and runs through 8 p.m. on Sunday at Seattle Center Armory. There will be a full schedule of entertainment, a cigar lounge and, of course, opportunities to get a tattoo.
From Friday to Sunday, the Civic Playfield in Edmonds will feature 35 food vendors, four stages of entertainment, kids' activities, wine and beer gardens and dancing.
