Mercer Street in downtown Seattle debuts two-way traffic between I-5 and Dexter next week, but first, another weekend of ramp closures.
Crews will close the I-5 on and off ramps to Mercer at 11:00 p.m. Friday night. They reopen at 5:00 a.m. Monday morning.
When they do, Mercer will be a two-way street for the first time in more than 50 years.
Seattle DO expects heavier congestion as people get used to the change.
