SEATTLE – Police are searching for a vehicle involved in a shooting in South Seattle that left two people wounded Friday afternoon.
Shots were fired in the 800 block of Rainier Avenue South around 1:30 p.m.
Detective Jeff Kappel said preliminary information indicates people in one truck fired shots at people in another truck.
The two wounded people were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Both are alive, but no other information was available on their condition. Police also said a 12-year-old child was in the victims' vehicle but was not injured in the shooting.
The suspects and their vehicle are still at large. The vehicle is a gray GMC Yukon or Chevy Suburban with a red stripe on the side. It was seen headed north on Rainier Avenue.
Officers stopped a possible suspect vehicle at 4th Avenue and Yesler Way. Four people inside were questioned and released.
