A 20-year-old murder case was back in court on Friday with a sentencing review for the killer of 16-year-old Missy Fernandes.
Fernandes, who attended Ballard High School, was the first Seattle student to be killed on school grounds. It was a crime that shook the city and made many feel less safe.
KING 5 first covered the story and was in court again Friday.
Convicted gunman Brian Ronquillo, who was also 16, had been sentenced to 51 years in prison.
Because of a sentencing technicality, the judge was required to drop a few months off the sentence.
Ronquillo will still be behind bars for a long time to come. He'll be released when he's 67.
