SEATTLE -- All around downtown Seattle, several iconic landmarks are turning turquoise to raise awareness for lung cancer and lung health. The turquoise lighting is part of the American Lung Association campaign “Lung Force,” which kicked off this week.
"Lung Force is our nationwide strategic cause campaign around the topic of women's lung health and in particular we are trying to combat the rising tide of women who have lung cancer," said Renee Klein with the American Lung Association.
The Pacific Science Center, Century Link Field, and the Seattle Great Wheel are taking part in the campaign.
Every five minutes a woman in the U.S. is told she has lung cancer, according to the American Lung Association.
