Nearly 3,000 runners and walkers made their way through Seattle on Sunday to raise money for ovarian cancer research.

Swedish Medical Center held it's annual "Summer Run And Walk" for ovarian cancer.

The 5k course started in the Capitol Hill neighborhood and ended at the Swedish campus on First Hill.

Many of the runners and walkers are ovarian cancer survivors or families affected by the disease.
