The girl that stuck her ugly puss on camera was rude.

Conseula, the person you are thinking of was Norm Maleng. It was his 12 year old daughter, Karen, who died in February 1989. She was innertubing in the snow down a street in Seattle, closed to trafic, when she lost control of her innertube and, unable to stop, slid under a parked car. During the snow of February 1989, there were 125 injuries attributed to sledding accidents in the Seattle area. Four were fatal. Karen was one of those 4 fatalities. I would much rather a reproter who was a "kill-joy" than one who would sit back and say nothing while people ignore the laws and endanger themselves or others.

All it takes is for someone to get hurt real bad. Give it time, and for all you who don't like the media, watch something else.

I can't believe the utter lack of respect of the male reporter. Almost every station in the country has had their person on the street reporter interrupted by passerbys. That woman was expressing her opinion (and telling the truth, I used to sled down QA hill) and just because her opinion didn't agree with the news teams he acted like a complete juvenile. My 8 yr old wouldn't even act like that towards a stranger. He was a complete d-bag.

Wish I could remember his name..A City Official..His daughter was killed a number of years ago while sledding after a big snow storm in the Seattle area..Not sure if it was Queen Anne..Maybe his first name is Norm? Probably not in office any longer..But remember he took time to throw an innocent one time offender in jail for theft of a book but didn't take the time to outlaw sledding on hills that could be dangerous and in turn, his priorities may have caused the death of his daughter..

If you are so concerned about reckless behavior in the snow, then why don't you make a complaint to Kiro 7. They have reporters driving while reporting live on the air. Talking on a cell while driving in these conditions is dangerous. Reporting live while being filmed is crazy.

Even though I kinda agree with kill-joy lady on the news bringing an obscure ordinance to the attention of the police, Dennis' "Wah Wah Wah" was quite good!

Meg, you did a good job of pointing out the dangers, and legality of sledding on Q.A. hill. I was the one who gave CPR in vain to Karen Mailing in Magnolia, and had to explain what happened to Norm, and his wife that horrible night many years ago. The vision haunts me to this day. I hope and pray that no lives are lost this week. Perhaps you could do a follow up story about the many parks, and golf courses, (Jackson golf course has been used for years) That would be much better alternatives. Please, I beg you to show more in depth what these people are risking. Mention Karen Mailings sad story, and bring it home to them. possibly saving a life. Thank you, Chris Wikstrom.

Not to sound like a broken record, but I also was surprised by the gal that interrupted the segment. Very immature and rude of her. Kids and adults can be very stupid in situations like the one being reported on today, and I think it's good for the news to highlight the fact that sledding next to a main road way can be dangerous.

I also saw the woman interrupt the reporter. I would've liked to high five the woman. The reporter was being blatantly rude about the activities of the community. If the police were letting them sled on the hill, the problem didn't need to be addressed continually. We see how it was dangerous and I'm sure everyone else did too. There are just certain traditions that you leave at rest or embrace.

I totally agree - that was extremely rude of that woman to interrupt you LIVE on tv like that. If she had an issue she should have waited to talk off-camera. I appreciated the report. It was fun to see the crazy people sledding down the hill in various ways as well as get the information on what was happening around the area. I hope that lady is embarrassed for doing that - totally unnecessary and uncalled for.

I just wanted to say that was very rude of that girl walking up and interupting you and trying to say that you are a kill joy to the sleding on the hill. she should be saying thank you, because they normally would or could be in danger of getting hit by cars or ticketed. And she was probally intoxicated or just trying to get on t.v. keep up the good work! April Adams
