A survey by MSN Travel and GQ Magazine lists Seattle as the sixth-worst dressed city in the world.
Here’s what they had to say about the Emerald City:
Hey Seattle, the 1990s called. They want their flannel shirt back. Once upon an unhygienic time, Seattle — the birthplace of grunge fashion — may have enjoyed a reputation as a fashion trendsetter, but it's been about 20 years since "Nevermind." Time to hop in the shower, buy a decent shirt that doesn't come from the thrift store or come in plaid, remove the kohl-black eyeliner and pull a comb through your hair. Step away from the plaid.
Here’s the top 10:
- Vancouver, B.C.
- Harajuku, Japan
- San Francisco and Silicon Valley
- Jersey Shore
What makes this ranking a bit odd is that GQ recently posted a list of the worst dressed cities in America and Seattle was ranked No. 34. There’s no explanation as to why they consider us so much worse on a worldwide scale.
