SEATTLE -- The Seattle Center is taking out loans as three tenants owe nearly $1 million in back rent.
Bumbershoot owes the center around $200,000. Intiman Theatre, which isn't operating at the moment, owes nearly $300,000. The Seattle Childrens Museum owes the most, at nearly half a million dollars.
Consequentially, the Seattle Center will take out a $1 million short term city loan and re-negotiate with some tenants.
The center will also cut some public events.
