SEATTLE -- Seattle Police posted images online of objects thrown at them during a recent Occupy protest at the Port of Seattle.

The objects included red paint, bricks and rebar. The red paint hit an SPD horse, officers said.

The images are posted on the SPD Blotter website.

Eleven protesters were arrested Monday during the protest, which operated as part of a nationwide effort to shutdown sea ports.

Protesters blocked traffic going into the port with makeshift fences, blockades, and by linking arms.

The only people these Occutards hurt by protesting at the ports was the workers that were sent home without pay for the day and the small businesses that rely on the port for there business. Way to go, Aimed for the big boys and missed and hit the little guy!

Why aren't these Occupy folks camping out and protesting on the front lawns of rich hollywood celebrities, multi-millionaire sports figures, internet billionaires, msical entertainers, Oprah, etc. Double standard?

I think that the Seattle Police department is actually showing a great deal of restraint while these OCCUPY idiots are actually escillating the levels of force. From what I have seen in the news SPD has been using Less than Lethal means to disperse protestors. Throwing bricks and rebar is going to lead these events events to a very bad end. I truely hope that the OCCUPY protestors do not intend to push this to the point that someone gets shot and can be used as some type of martyr for their cause.

"If the cops don't like bricks and rebar then they should not use pepper spray on people." Right. Because pepper spray inflicts so much physical harm while flying bricks and rebar never hurt anyone. How do people who think like this manage to survive day to day?

closing the ports is the first thing I agree with. Our trade laws aren't working as they are written. The few get richer importing junk from every where. Our balance of trade is so lop sided.

When are you bozos going to figure out the police are in your "99%"? Geeze. Way to go. And stop shutting down the port and roadways. You're not helping. You're going to need to be inclusive to grow.

Dear Occupy and other protesters. PLEASE NOTE 1. I recognize and support your right to freedom of speech and assembly 2. Please respect our rights including Life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. This means you cannot deny me my right to go down public streets, go to work etc. You cannot block public or private transit. 3. COPs have rights also in my opinion throwing bricks etc that can hurt a public servant should result in members of public taking you into an alley and bounce a few bricks off your heads. 4. Yes you can assemble but not on MY tax dollar. Please pay your own way and clean up your mess, and pay rent on land you occupy. I realize not all of you throw bricks so CONTROL your thugs BETTER YET blacklist them or take them to the alley. It is unfortunate that members of public cannot respond to these clowns. I think there is no law for member of public brutality.

High pressure water hoses, you mean like the ones the East German Police used against people in the communist era? Great. This is just anarchy, and we don't need to tolerate it. But we need to be Americans and not communists. If the cops don't like bricks and rebar then they should not use pepper spray on people. In Belgium today, a nut threw a handgrenade into a town square and started shooting at people. Fortunately, his second grenade went off in his face. Is this where you'd like things to go? I think we can do better.

Useful idiots. The whole lot. All the city would have had to do is bring in the truck with the high pressure water hoses. An hour of that combined with freezing temps would have sent this sad lot scattered in every direction. But then again, as in most cities the leadership actually loves this, so I doubt that would ever happen.

OCCUPY YOURSELVES! You have no organization, you have no strategy, you have no analysis. Your approach is to behave like spoiled children whining about what you don't like, making demands, but not coming to the table as partners with solutions. You're provocative and hostile. Try getting some schooling on non-violence and what our Constitutional rights to Free Speech and Assembly really mean. You have no claim to take over public space indefinitely and prevent others from access and enjoyment. You're alienating the people you need as your allies, manipulating the homeless in an attempt to advance you cause, and trying to leverage Unions that no longer want anythig to do with you. Got a clue now?

Bring in the fire trucks with the high pressure hoses. This will stop this foolishness immediately, and no one gets hurt, well no one important anyway.

The Occupy movement does not represent me and I suspect it does not represent the majority of legal Americans. They are not the 99%, they are the .99%. They are less than 1%. Their use of violence and disregard for public safety and small business right to do business disgusts me. I also think the Occupy movement will be very violent at the conventions this summer. I'm glad it's all on the east coast

Sonny Barger (late leader of the Hell's Angels) once proudly proclaimed " We are the 1 %" This is a true statement. They are the lawless 1 % who end up in prison, when they are caught , prosecuted, & imprisoned. Now we have the "99%" who gladly break laws for the rest of us because they think we agree with their lawlessness. Truth is if they behaved peaceably, they would get more support. But they are lawless & thus are part of Sonny Barger's 1 % not our 99 %.

Any idiot can figure out that blocking the port and keeping the workers from working, will only keep the workers from making money. Items that are being shipped will get to their destination eventually. Slowing them down a little will not matter to the entities that the protesters are trying to influence. It seems as though this "Occupy" movement has turned into something for a buch of jobless lazy people to do with their time.

...to all those union longshoremen, truckers and train workers in the Northwest, some of the ships have been radio'd and diverted to other ports. For every 800-900 ft cargo ship diverted because of Occupy, millions of dollars will be lost forever for this region. That includes tax revenues for government workers, social programs for the needy. Occupy is damaging government workers employment, their pensions and entitlements. Read the paper, the legislature are thinking about postponement of payment, ...that means not paying into your pension and entitlements, more unfunded liabilities! That because Occupy created this new budget hole of $10 million unexpected expenditure that keeps growing. Occupy is not hurting the tax payer, they are hurting labor unions, longshoremen, truckers, government labor union workers and their pensions and entitlements. That's what happens when government and labor unions run huge debts.
