SEATTLE -- Two people were injured after a cement truck overturned and collided with three cars on Aurora Avenue North near Seattle's Green Lake Friday afternoon.
The accident closed the southbound lanes of Aurora at Green Lake Way and two northbound lanes; one northbound lane remained open.
Just after 2 p.m., the cement truck overturned on Aurora Avenue North near 72nd Street and truck two pickup trucks and a passenger car.
Seattle Fire Department tweeted the driver of the cement truck, a man in his 30s, was transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. Seattle police said a driver of one of the pickup trucks was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The two other drivers were not injured.
Crews managed to upright the overturned truck and have cleared the scene. All lanes of Aurora Avenue have reopened.
