A married Mercer Island father is reportedly under investigation for allegedly sticking a woman in the neck with a hypodermic needle and trying to rape her.
The Seattle PI reports the alleged assault happened early on the morning of August 15. According to police documents, a woman flagged down police and told them a man picked her up, took her to a parking garage then tried to rape her. She also said she was stabbed in the neck with a needle.
Officers went to the parking garage and arrested the man. The man allegedly admitted that he picked up the woman at the Shell station near Denny Way and Aurora Avenue, thinking she was a prostitute.
Police reportedly said they saw an uncapped hypodermic needle, a baggie with a white, powdery substance in it and a glass pipe when the man exited the vehicle. A black bag was also seen in the front passenger seat where the woman said she had left it, according to the article.
The suspect has not been charged and police say the investigation is ongoing.
