A man who is a double-amputee and uses a wheelchair was transported to Harborview Medical Center Friday after he was struck by a semi truck.
The crash happened at 1:45 a.m. the intersection of East Cherry Street and 12th Avenue in Seattle.
Police said the victim was crossing against a red light when he was hit by the truck.
Using surveillance video at the accident scene, police said three taxi cabs drove past the victim as he layed injured in the street. Police said all three drivers neglected to render assistance or call 911.
The driver of the semi truck stayed on scene and cooperated with police. Officers found no signs of impairment, and as of right now, he is not facing any charges.
