A 59-year-old man died Wednesday night after being struck by a pickup truck in Seattle's Rainier Valley.
Seattle Police said the man was wearing all dark clothing and illegally crossing Rainier Avenue South when he was hit just before 8:30 p.m.
The Seattle Fire Department transported the man to Harborview Medical Center where he later died as a result of his injuries.
Police tell KING 5 News that the driver, a man in his 70s, remained on scene and was evaluated for drug and alcohol abuse but none was detected.
Police are still investigating the accident.
