SEATTLE -- A man fell almost 100 feet to his death at the Seattle shipyards Friday.
The unidentified man was on a worksite at Vigor Shipyards when he fell from a structure, hitting scaffolding several times on the way down.
Seattle Fire spokesperson Kyle Moore said the victim fell between 75 and 100 feet.
The man suffered severe trauma to his entire body, Moore said, and medics attempted CPR on him multiple times before he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A witness to the incident said the man was working on an oil rig at the time, but that information has not yet been confirmed.
