The Macklemore and Ryan Lewis video that drew thousands of people to Capitol Hill in late July was released on Monday.

The Seattle artist all but shut down Capitol Hill to shoot part of the new “White Walls” video, which features Seattle's famous Dick's Drive-In.

It’s been quite a year for Macklemore – whose real name is Ben Haggerty. He’s gone from relative unknown to the cover of Rolling Stone.

He stole the show and smashed the hip hop competition at MTV's Video Music Awards. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Ray Dalton took home the VMA for Best Hip Hop Video for their hit song "Can't Hold Us."

"White Walls" features ScHoolboy Q and Hollis, with a cameo by Sir Mix-a-Lot.
