A suspected burglar is in jail after a Capitol Hill homeowner confronted him with a handgun.
The incident happened Friday afternoon on the 700 block of Bellevue Ave E.
The victim says he came home to find a man burglarizing his house.
Police say there was a struggle between the victim and the suspect who fled the scene on foot.
The victim drew a handgun and chased after the fleeing suspect before Seattle Police officers took over the chase.
Police say the suspect injured his leg after he jumped onto I-5 but he managed keep running westbound across lanes of traffic.
Seattle police soon after found the suspect hiding in a green belt near the freeway, he was taken into custody without further incident.
