SEATTLE -- A dangerous start to the New Year was caught on video in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood.
Seattle firefighters found themselves in the crossfire on New Year's morning near 2nd Avenue and Bell Street. Trouble spilled out of The Copper Cart Club and multiple gunshots were fired in the area. It all unfolded in front of firefighters and police, who were already responding to a call nearby.
The video was taken by the team that surrounds Seattle's self-proclaimed superhero, Phoenix Jones, a.k.a. Benjamin Fodor, and uploaded to YouTube.
At least six bullets struck the Rosa Lima and Noel House, a homeless shelter for women. One bullet almost hit someone sleeping inside the building.
"I can't believe all these women were in here," said Diane Swanberg, Program Director of the shelter. "One woman was in here and had the window blown out right over her head, I can't imagine."
No one was hurt in the chaos. Seattle Police say a security officer at the club returned fire. Two men were detained at the scene.
