A new exhibit opens at the Experience Music Project on Saturday spotlighting Seattle’s rap duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

“Spectacle: The Music Video” focuses on the history and evolution of music videos.  For the first time, you’ll be able to get an up close look at the costumes and props from Macklemore’s music videos, like the fur coat worn in the “Thrift Shop” video, the Heist flag and Macklemore’s fur jacket and wolf hat from “Can’t Hold Us.”

There is also a film about the pair’s creative process and a map showing all the locations in the Northwest where their music videos were filmed.

Visitors will be able to put on fur coats and pose in front of the opening scene of “Thrift Shop” as well as perform the song in front of a virtual audience.

“Specatcle: The Music Video” is a traveling exhibition, but the only place you’ll see Macklemore’s costumes and props are in Seattle.
