SEATTLE -- Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who plowed into a south Seattle church overnight Monday.
The crash happened on 14th Avenue South and South Hill Street shortly before 2 a.m. A family who lives in an apartment above the church made it out safely, but they are devastated by the damage done to the church.
"We are Orthodox Christian and that's our church," said Hintsa Fesseha, church member. "We really believe in it, so we are really sad right now."
Investigators are still assessing the damage. Meanwhile, the family said they don't know when they'll be allowed back into their home.
