With two shootings in the last few days, a march through Belltown holds special meaning this week.
Residents are invited to join a Citizens on Patrol walk Thursday, July 5 at 7:00 p.m.
Monday, a man was shot near 2nd Avenue and Bell Street after a fight broke out. Then on Tuesday, another man was shot near the Twilight Lounge on Western Avenue and Blanchard Street.
The citizen walks are designed to show the community that neighbors are fed up with recent violence.
Walks are scheduled every Thursday evening during the month of July. All walks begin from Seattle Heights, at 2600 2nd Avenue.
