Hundreds of Seattle Seahawks fans didn’t stay home and sulk about Sunday’s heartbreaking loss to the Atlanta Falcons. They lined the streets outside Sea-Tac Airport Sunday night to say “thank you” to the Seahawks as they arrived home.
Just as they did on Friday when the Seahawks headed to Atlanta, the 12th Man stood on both sides of S. 188th Street as the buses rolled through.
With a team full of young players, some of whom have yet to reach their prime, fans are hopeful that the team has a prosperous future.

“The NFL, next year, is gonna fear this team,” said fan Lorin “Big Lo: Sandretzky. “They have a lot of heart, a lot of guts and determination and I have a feeling next year, we’re just gonna run the table.”
"I want them to know it doesn't matter what happened today,” said another fan. “I want them to know it doesn't matter what happened in the win-loss column, that we still support them and love them and we know good things are coming.”
The team took to Twitter to show their appreciation.
“Best feeling in the world seeing all the #12thman at the airport! Wow I love this team and this amazing city. #GoHawks,” tweeted quarterback Russell Wilson.
“Unbelievable showing by our fans outside the airport after we got back. Thank you from all of us, we appreciate you so much! #12s,” tweeted head coach Pete Carroll.
“Appreciate that love 12s. Y'all r deep outside the airport,” tweeted wide receiver Golden Tate.
