A woman was thrown several feet and ended up in the hospital with critical injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Renton Saturday morning. Police now need help to identify her.
It happened around 9 a.m. in the 3800 block of Lake Washington Boulevard.
Renton Police say the woman was thrown about 25 or 30 feet into some blackberry bushes. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, unconcious and in critical condition.
Police say the driver left the scene, but came back a few minutes later and was arrested for investigation of vehicular assault. They say alcohol may have been involved.
The victim did not have any identification and police would like the public's help to identify her. People at the scene said she mentioned her name was "Rose" or "Ros" or something similar before she passed out. She is a white or light-skinned black female in her 30's or 40's. She was wearing light blue running shoes and white shorts.
