RENTON, Wash. – The Renton Public Library was briefly evacuated Wednesday afternoon after a suspicious device was found on a nearby trail.

A Port of Seattle bomb squad rendered the "apparent explosive" inert, the City of Renton tweeted around 3 p.m.

The Bronson Bridge was temporarily closed.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is investigating.
